This course will explore the society, customs and cultures of Senegal. Students explore Senegal through Section, cultural immersion, and research. This course will introduce topics such as: family structures, rural and urban realities, religions and beliefs, health, dance and drumming, etc. In addition to Sections, students will have the opportunity to use written documentation as well as films and to take part in field trips and discussion to get a general view on various themes related to Senegalese culture and society.
