ENGLIT 1635 - CHILDREN IN PITTSBURGHMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This class surveys the range of cultural institutions serving children in Pittsburgh today, from museums to television companies to libraries to parks, to understand the historical and social contexts of contemporary children's lives and to introduce students to research and career opportunities related to children's culture. The course emphasizes site visits to cultural institutions around Pittsburgh and guest lectures from currently active professionals in this field.
