COUN 2720 - FOUNDATIONS OF COUNSELINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is an investigation of the historical, philosophical, legislative, and clinical dimensions, scope, and practice of counseling. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, students will understand the roles of counselors and the various settings and systems in which they work. The course also underscores the importance of developing a counselor identity, encouraging students to reflect on personal values, strengths, and areas for growth to become effective and authentic practitioners.
