This course explores human development across the lifespan, by reviewing theories encompassing physical, cognitive, social, cultural, and emotional dimensions. From the prenatal period through aging and death, students will engage with the intricate processes and milestones of human growth and change. Clinical approaches tailored to each developmental stage will be examined, providing insight into effective interventions and therapeutic strategies. Students will acquire an understanding of the intersectionality between human development and cultural contexts to guide their case conceptualization and treatment approaches with clients of diverse identities and lived experiences.
