BUSBIS 1540 - RESPONSIBLE AI FOR BUSINESSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is part of the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business" curriculum at Pitt Business. The course focuses on the significant challenges that accompany the use of AI and generative AI in business and societal settings. Students will learn the implications of "what could go wrong" with AI deployments and learn how to detect and prevent outcomes that could cause significant damage to people, businesses, and society. Students will also build a framework for the responsible use of AI that focuses on purpose of use, ethics, fairness, transparency, and mitigating bias. As a result, students will be able to lead organizational-wide discussions of responsible data science and the potential societal and environmental impacts of using AI in business workflows. The course uses a mixture of lectures, readings, case discussions, and written case analyses. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: Letter Grade
