COUN 1733 - COUNSELING SKILLS FOR THE HELPING PROFESSIONS

Helping professionals work with clients and patients with various needs and from diverse backgrounds. They face unique and challenging clinical situations every day. This class is designed to assist students in learning tools and techniques for recognizing barriers to effective communication and generating appropriate counseling strategies. This class will consist of three modules: (1) Counseling and Listening Skills, (2) Practicing with Cultural Humility, and (3) Burnout and Compassion Fatigue.
