AFRCNA 0150 - AFRICAN AMERICAN LITERATUREMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Introduction to black American literature from its oral traditions to the written form from the 18th to 20th century interrelated to historical social and political movements. Special emphasis will be placed upon the Harlem Renaissance period, the literature of the 1960's, and a work by the Pulitzer Prize winners (Gwendolyn brooks, James Alan McPherson, Alice Walker, or Toni Morrison).
