BMKT 3551 - RESEARCH IN MARKETINGMinimum Credits: 1.5 Maximum Credits: 1.5 The purpose of this seminar is to give you an overview of the foundations of marketing strategy research and familiarize you with recent marketing strategy research. Marketing strategy examines strategic decisions and actions taken by firms in various sub-areas within marketing, and integrates consumer-level perspectives as an input to marketing strategy. This seminar examines marketing strategy from a multidisciplinary perspective and utilizes theories emanating from economics, sociology, psychology, management, as well as marketing. There are many interesting levels of analysis in marketing strategy research, including individual, dyadic, group, firm, inter-organizational, and industry level. In addition, this seminar will introduce you to a variety of research designs and techniques for doing marketing strategy research. Each week we will cover literature on a specific topic.
