This seminar examines the arts of teaching and learning in Africana Studies. Students are introduced to Africana-centered pedagogical tools while also being exposed to resources from the University's Center for Teaching and Learning. In the process of learning the fundamentals of Africana pedagogy and being introduced to the pioneers of Africana pedagogy, students learn how to weave African and African diasporic politics, economics, history, philosophy, psychology, religion, literature, arts, music, and culture to create different Africana-centered syllabi.
