AFRCNA 2850 - AFRICANA STUDIES PROSEMINAR IIMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 As a result of migration processes, Black subjects have challenged and reconfigured local, global, and national identities. This seminar will introduce students to a range of theories about diaspora, transnational migration, and globalization from the perspective of Africana Studies. Students will explore how Africana methodology complicates these theories and paint a much more complex idea of what is understood as migrant communities, displaced communities, exiles, enclaves, ghettos, and refuge communities.
