AFRCNA 2860 - AFRICANA RESEARCH METHODSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This seminar explores how Africana scholars formulate their research questions and design their methodologies. It explains how they use a variety of methodological approaches for conducting research in Black communities worldwide and creating new ideas that contribute to the advancement of Africana Studies scholarship. Students will explore how humanities and the social sciences research methodologies complement the interdisciplinary characteristic of Africana Research Methods. Students will be exposed to a variety of award-winning manuscripts and research projects that followed an Africana-centered research methodology.
