AFRCNA 2450 - AFRICANA CULTURAL MEMORYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 In the academy, in both national and international contexts, cultural memory/ transcultural memory studies are orientations to memory from the perspectives of Holocaust, war, migration, trauma, and exile, but there are gaps in the scholarship that do not yet deliberately or coherently address the Africana experience. As a new contribution to intellectual discourse in the discipline of Africana Studies, this course corresponds to innovative, ground-breaking, and emergent ideas and scholarship on Africana Cultural Memory Studies as a sub-field of Africana Studies.
