COUN 2714 - MEDICAL, PSYCHOSOCIAL, AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY CONSIDERATIONS IN DISABILITYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is designed to allow counseling professionals to understand, interpret, and apply medical information relevant to the counseling relationship. Students examine major chronic illnesses and disabilities to obtain a theoretical and practical understanding of the implications of these conditions on all areas of functioning and participation, including interpersonal relationships, sexuality, education, employment, and independent living. Technology interventions for major functional areas will be discussed and demonstrated.
