COUN 2716 - MEDICAL & PSYCHOSOCIAL ASPECTS OF DISABILITYMinimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course is designed to prepare counseling professionals to become skillful interpreters and users of medical information and terminology. Students examine major chronic illnesses and disabilities in order to obtain a practical and theoretical understanding of the implications of these conditions on all areas of functioning and participation, including interpersonal relationships, sexuality, education, employment, and independent living.
