CHE 2822 - ADVANCED TOPICS IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERINGMinimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course introduces the fundamentals of capillarity via canonical problems in surface tension and wetting phenomena. Topics include static wetting phenomena (e.g. contact angles, shapes of menisci and drops), dynamic phenomena in which viscosity plays a role (e.g. rupture of menisci, coating operations), and thermodynamics (e.g. capillary condensation, nucleation).
