HPS 2355 - COGNITIVE AND NEURAL SYSTEMSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will examine the theoretical foundations of neuroscience, with a special focus on systems neuroscience, asking what progress has been made towards a general account of neural processing and discussing obstacles to theoretical unification. Example seminar topics are; the neuron doctrine, information theory and the brain, network science, the Bayesian brain, dynamic representation, understanding intrinsic activity, and cognitive architecture.
