HPS 2155 - EXPERIMENT & SCIENTIFIC PRACTICEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This will be a course on the epistemology of science. An honest way to do epistemology of science is to ask, given a theory and a set of evidence: to what extent does this evidence support this theory? In this course we will not investigate the topography of evidential warrant so directly. We will turn instead to some recent studies of the experimental practices through which particular pieces of evidence emerge as evidence.
