EDUC 2008 - DEVELOPMENT: CONCEPTION THROUGH EARLY CHILDHOODMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Focuses on developmental pathways from conception through early childhood within contexts of family, daycare/school, community and culture. Pathways are considered with regard to developmental changes in transactions between individuals and social life conditions, with focus on patterns of change in participation in social-cultural practices. Besides a review of current literature, students will be engaged in qualitative investigations of the social lives of young children.
