DIASCI 5320 - MANAGEMENT OF DENTAL EMERGENCIESMinimum Credits: 1 Maximum Credits: 1 In this course, students will learn the principles and procedures for the examination, diagnosis, treatment and documentation of the patient with a dental emergency. Students will be provided with numerous examples of dental emergencies that encompass the various dental disciplines. The goal of this course is to provide students with the foundational knowledge needed to properly evaluate and treat dental emergencies in an expeditious and efficient manner. Students will apply the skills acquired in this didactic course when treating patients during their clinical rotations in the Emergency Care Clinic. This knowledge and experience is intended to help the student manage their patients while in dental school, and after graduation when in a private practice setting.
