DENT 5440 - SENIOR CASE PRESENTATION

In this course, students will present a comprehensive patient case to classmates and faculty for feedback and assessment. The presentation will consist of both a written and oral component. The student will be required to provide documentation, including study models and photos, to support their patient care decisions. The student is expected to incorporate Evidenced Based Dentistry prior to establishing a treatment path, utilizing critical thinking to explore multiple treatment modalities. Upon completion of this course, students will have demonstrated the skills needed to competently evaluate treatment modalities as an entry level general dentist and to discuss a case with health professional peers and colleagues. This course includes an orientation lecture and a seminar session in which students present their final project to faculty and peers.
