ECON 0260 - EVERDAY DECISIONS & RATIONALITY: INTRO TO BEHAVIORAL ECONOMICSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course provides students a hands-on introduction to applications of behavioral economics in the real world. Behavioral economics aims to explain economic decision-making using insights from psychology -- when predictions of traditional economic theory fail and the need for alternative explanations for the observed behavior emerges. Students will apply the scientific method by generating a research question about economic behavior; collecting data through experimental, observational, or survey methods; and analyzing the data to test their hypothesis.
