PSY 1145 - SOCIAL RESEARCH ADVANCED LABMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This is a laboratory course that will focus on research methods in the area of social psychology. As a student in this course, you will complete in-class activities as well as individual and small group assignments designed to prepare you for conducting research in social psychology. Course requirements include oral presentations and written assignments. Students will critique empirical journal articles, complete small group assignments that explore a variety of research designs, develop an independent research proposal based on a prominent social psychological theory, and collect and analyze data to test a hypothesis that extends upon a published empirical paper relevant to social psychology.
