PS 1302 - POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will examine the major problems involved in the study and understanding of change in "less developed countries," the main approaches and theories applied to these problems, and the criticisms directed at some of these approaches. In particular, it will consider attempts to understand "development" by reference to the earlier experiences of Europe and the United States and will evaluate the relevance of such an approach to the current problems of the underdeveloped world.
