NROSCI 1036 - NEUROBIOLOGY OF AGINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course examines age-related changes in neurobiological systems, including motor, sensory, cognitive, and neuroendocrine. Emphasis will be placed on distinguishing biochemical, molecular, physiological, and behavioral changes associated with normal aging versus changes associated with pathologic conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. Introductory lectures will discuss different theories of aging, how aging is studied in the laboratory, and how these relate specifically to neuroscience.
