CHIN 1047 - CHINESE AND WESTERN POETRYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 A comparative study of Chinese and Western lyric poetry. This course explores the world of feeling as expressed in the poetry of two vastly different worlds; china and the West and focuses on the language of feeling in a poetic medium. The purpose of this course is to appreciate how differences between the two poetic traditions is essential to a better understanding of the two cultures.
