ANTH 1759 - CHINESE SOCIETYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course deals with traditional and modern Chinese society, before and after the 1949 communist revolution. Topics covered include: family and kinship, marriage, community organization, agriculture and industry, gender roles, social stratification, religion, land reform and collectivization, and the cultural construction of a new socialist system.
