AFRCNA 1108 - AFRICAN AMERICAN FOLK CULTUREMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will explore several aspects of African American folk culture being defined as non-elite expressions of art, music, dance, theatre, literature, humor, material culture, and religious beliefs. Particular attention will be given to the role of folklore in the perpetuation and transmission of shared cultural knowledge among blacks in the United States.
