TLL 1008 - STEAM: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course focuses on the instructional content of STEAM, which includes subject-matter alignment (the ways in which teachers present material from multiple disciplines or content areas in clear and connected ways), discipline integration (the selection of material across disciplines - including concepts, methods, and approaches - as well as how they are synthesized to support deeper learning), and ways to employ problem-solving skills. These skills include cognitive skills (modeling, analyzing, interpreting), collaborative skills (communication, problem-solving), and creative skills (designing, creating) necessary for 21st century learning.
