HRS 1906 - EDUCATION POLICY AND PRACTICE IN NORTHERN IRELANDMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 In this course, which will involve a combination of classroom and community based learning, students will learn about education policy and practice within the social and cultural context of Northern Ireland. Students will explore a wide range of topics including: education policy with specific reference to special education needs, the role of play in cognitive development, physical literacy, issues of disadvantage and mental health, models of collaborative, inter-professional practice, inclusion and equity in education, and community engagement. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: Letter Grade Course Requirements: School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences students only.
