SOC 1115 - GLOBAL CHANGE AND MODERN LIFEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is directed at discussion of the processes involved in the making of the modern world into a single sociocultural system. It combines matters usually discussed in courses on modernization, the comparative analysis of whole societies, international relations, and the relationship between individual and societies into a cohesive whole. More specifically it combines the analysis of relations "between" societies with the analysis of changes "within" societies.
