SURG 5410 - GENERAL SURGERY ELECTIVEMinimum Credits: 0 Maximum Credits: 0 Four-week clerkship offered at a private area medical facility student works directly with a surgical resident and attending surgeons. Responsibilities: preoperative diagnosis, intraoperative surgical assisting and post-op care. Daily rounds with house staff and attendings. Attend surgical conference and is requested in advance to participate by way of case presentation or prepared problem discussion. Student "night call" approximately every fourth night corresponding to the surgical resident on service.
