ADMPS 2059 - ADVISING AND SUPPORTING SKILLS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION PROFESSIONALSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course offers an overview of the skills, strategies, and functions associated with advising and supporting college students. This foundational course regards advising and supporting skills as cultivated across functional areas and considers techniques and strategies applicable to a range of student services units, such as academic advising, career counseling, study abroad advising, student conduct facilitation, and student organization group advising. Additionally, students engage with recent developments associated with advising and supporting students through the evolving technological, legal, and ethical landscapes of higher education.
