COUN 2735 - CAREER COUNSELING & VOCATIONAL ISSUESMinimum Credits: 2 Maximum Credits: 2 This course focuses on theory and practice of career and vocational counseling. Module 1 of this course focuses on models of theories of career development and career counseling, with cultural considerations taken into account. Students learn to incorporate theory into career counseling practice. Module 2 emphasizes vocational issues including job placement, pre-placement analysis, client-readiness, job development, job modification, and employer culture and attitudes. Module 2 content includes sources of occupational data, lab or market analysis, job analysis, job seeking skills, and procedures for analyzing transferable work skills.
