HPA 2267 - PHYSIOLOGICAL BASIS-FITNESS AND SPORT CONDITIONINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is aimed at developing an understanding of the physiological adaptations to fitness or long term physical training with emphasis on metabolic, strength and conditioning principles. Through the awareness of the body's responses to chronic and acute exercise. The student will be able to organize and design a physical training or fitness program for young adults, athletes and special populations. This course provides preparation for the American college of sports medicine health fitness instructor or national strength and conditioning exams.
