CEE 2416 - SEDIMENT TRANSPORTMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course describes the interaction of fluid and sediment transport processes. This interaction causes morphodynamic changes in open channel flows. This course covers topics such as boundary layer flow and distribution of flow velocities and shear stresses in open channel flows; physical properties of sediments; types of sediment transport (bed-load and suspended-load) for uniform and mixture, dynamics of bed forms, modulation of bedforms into hydrodynamics and morphodynamics, review of the state-of-the-art in sediment transport research, review of the importance of sediment transport processes into engineering projects. This course serves contains computational, analytical and some experimental projects. Academic Career: Graduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: Grad Letter Grade Course Requirements: PROG: Swanson School of Engineering
