CEE 2217 - GREEN BUILDING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTIONMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Understanding the design and construction of green buildings are key elements in green and sustainable engineering. This course teaches all of the major aspects of green building design and construction, including sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, innovation, and design process. The United States green building council's leadership in energy and environmental design green building rating system is used to demonstrate one possible green building rating system. Life cycle thinking will be discussed to expand the focus from not only design and construction, but also use, operations, and decommissioning.
