BIOETH 2001 - ETHICS AND AGINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course offers an overview of ethical issues in aging. Early sessions will explore the ethical implications of stereotypes and myths regarding aging. Turning to the context of health care, students will identify and analyze moral dilemmas that arise in the long-term and end-of-life care of older adults. Concepts and topics to be critically examined include: autonomy, dependency, elder abuse, and just resource allocation.
