BIOENG 2186 - NEURAL ENGINEERINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Neural engineering is an emerging discipline that seeks first, to understand brain function using computational and engineering principles; second, to improve health through nervous system interventions; and third, to discover principles of biological information processing that can improve computing technologies. Students will learn the principles of neuroscience and the computational tools needed for original research in neural engineering. They will develop the ability to critically evaluate scientific evidence. They will design novel experiments and approaches in neuroscience and neural engineering.
