FMST 1523 - FILM WESTERNMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course examines the meaning of the Western to a mass audience. More specifically we will explore the genre's popularity, the way it represents the past, the concept of the mythic hero, changes in the genre from 1939 to 1981, and the contributions to the genre of specific directors.
