CHE 1933 - ENGINEERING A CRAFT BREWERYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will introduce students to the science of brewing and the engineering required to design and operate a craft brewery. Students will apply concepts from mass and energy balances, fluid dynamics and heat transfer, and reaction engineering to study the unit operations required to convert grain, water, yeast, and hops into beer. Students will also develop product analysis and product design skills to justify brewing choices based upon brewing science, engineering, and economic considerations.
