FILMST 1130 - DIRECTING MOTION PICTURESMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course addresses some of the basic problems of designing and directing scenes for motion pictures. Some of the problems discussed are the relationship of film to reality, the meaning of cinematic techniques, continuity, shot selection, cut selection and visualization techniques. The format is a combination of lecture, screening and interactive group exercises. Extensive outside work is necessary. All enrolled students will be responsible for paying a course fee for the use of equipment.
