BIOENG 3333 - ADVANCED FINITE ELEMENT METHODSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This second course in the finite element method focuses on the challenges and solution strategies for nonlinear boundary value problems in mechanics. Topics include nonlinear heat transfer as well as geometric and material nonlinearity in solid mechanics. In addition, an overview is presented of various transient analysis techniques (i.e., time integration) within the finite element method.
