BCHS 3508 - ADVANCED METHODS IN COMMUNITY-BASED PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH AND PRACTICE IN PUBLIC HEALTHMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course is organized around themes central to the conceptualization and implementation of community-based participatory research and practice (CBPRP). The goal of this advanced course is to familiarize students with methods for conducting community-based participatory research and practice. Students will become conversant in seminal community-based participatory research and practice literature. Discussion, interactive learning exercises, and examples of current research will be used to provide an advanced understanding of the appropriate methods for studying complex community issues. In addition, the course will discuss strengths and limitations related to community-based participatory research and practice.
