THEA 1500 - MODERN ACTINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course builds students' acting skills and styles. It provides the means through which students may develop or expand their acting abilities through practical work with a variety of scripts, focusing primarily on 20th-century English plays. This course has been designed based upon the technical foundations established by Stanislavky, and requires students to develop acting skills through exercises and methods taken from a mixture of America, European, as well as Russian acting traditions. Such techniques are fundamental to most lessons given at British universities and acting schools and are often used throughout rehearsals in the context of professional productions.
