HIST 1709 - GLOBAL HISTORY OS SCIENCE FROM THE 17TH TO THE 20TH CENTURIESMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Entails the exploration of a fairly new sub-field within world history: the study of long-distance, transnational, inter-cultural circuits of scientists, texts, instruments, and discourses between approximately 1500 and the present. Focusing on scientific developments in the Americas, Asia, and Africa, this course interrogates Eurocentric accounts of the history of knowledge.
