BIOSC 1290 - EXPERIMENTAL GENETIC ENGINEERING LABORATORYMinimum Credits: 1 Maximum Credits: 1 This is a laboratory course focusing on the genetic engineering of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microbes. During this course, students will isolate novel mutants of a specific microbe and employ both traditional genetic approaches and current methods in molecular microbiology to clone, characterize and sequence the mutant alleles.
